Ram Charan’s Racha budget is 29 Crores

Mega Power Star Ram Charan Tej’s Racha that has reached final phase of its shoot is said to be shot with a whopping budget of Rs. 29 Crores without adding Ram Charan’s remuneration.

Racha touted to be a commercial mass entertainer is one of the expensive films of Tollywood. Director Sampath Nandi has shot the movie in exotic and scenic locales. The songs and fights in the film are said to be the major highlights of Racha. Tamanna played the female lead in the film.

Venkatesh, Mahesh participating in SVSC song shoot

With Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu in the lead roles, the biggest multi-starrer film of the era, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is progressing its shoot at brisk pace in Tamil Nadu.

Currently, a family song is being pictured on the actors Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Samantha and other supporting cast of the movie. The Tamil Nadu schedule will be carried till March 3 and the unit will return back to Hyderabad for a new schedule.

Srikanth Addala is wielding the megaphone for this family entertainer and Dil Raju is producing it under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner with musical scores by Mickey J Meyer.

Trivikram shot a bank robbery scene on Allu Arjun, Sonu Sood

it is known that Trivikram Srinivas is currently directing a film with Allu Arjun and Ileana as leads and the film is progressing at a rapid pace in and around Hyderabad. The makers have canned a bank robbery scene on Allu Arjun and the antagonist Sonu Sood in the movie recently that is considered to be one of the highlight scenes.

The scene is shot lavishly and stylishly in a special set erected in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. N. Radhakrishna is producing the film under Harika Hasini creations banner while Devi Sri Prasad is composing the musical scores. DVV Danayya is acting as presenter.

Rajini’s Kochadaiyaan dubbing rights at whopping cost

Superstar Rajinikanth starrer Kochadaiyaan is about to sell its Telugu dubbing rights at a high price, while the movie is in its pre production stage itself.

Deepika Padukone will romance Rajini in Kochadaiyaan directed by Soundarya R Ashwin. Debutant director has not taken any decision about the price of distribution rights, but it is heard that a leading distributor is trying to offer 28 crores for only dubbing rights.

Kochadaiyaan casts veteran actress Shobana, Sarath Kumar, Nassar, Jackie Shroff, Rukmini and Aadhi in other important roles. Director K.S.Ravikumar has penned the script and will be supervising this film. A.R.Rahman has scored the music for the lyrics penned by Vairamuthu, Rajiv Menon’s cinematography and Sunil Lulla will be producing the film under Eros Entertainment.

Nithin’s Ishq releasing on February 24

Nithin’s youthful romantic entertainer Ishq is now set for a worldwide release on February 24. Anoop Rubens composed music has recently been unveiled by Pawan Kalyan and is earning good response.

The post-production works of Ishq has come to final stages. Mallu beauty Nithya Menon played Nithin’s love interest in the film. Venkatesh flying to Australia for Shadow

venkatesh’s new film Shadow in the direction of Meher Ramesh is flying to Australia on 14^th February for a new schedule. Few vital action sequences will be canned in the schedule on the main cast.

Venkatesh is essaying a don role in the movie romancing hot actresses Tapsee. Shadow also casts Srikanth and Madhurima in important roles. Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan are taking care of the story and dialogues of the movie.

Nagarjuna Playing Satya Sai Baba Role?

Sathya Sai Baba has already caused a flurry of activity in Tollywood, with local filmmakers all set to encash on the buzz surrounding Baba currently.

Director Kodi Rama Krishna and Sumanth Palepu are all set to make two separate films on the life of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, who passed away recently at Puttaparthi.

Sumanth reveals that his movie will be a periodical. "My film will be a periodical that will cover all the major milestone of Baba's life. To reach Baba's devotees across the world, the movie will be made in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada with an international cast. It will be released worldwide," he says.

According to our sources, Siddique or Mani Shankar may be roped in to direct the film.

Meanwhile, director Kodi Ramakrishna, known for films like Arundhati, and Devullu, says, "I would like to show his life from the beginning to the end. The film has to be both factual and interesting."

Rumour has it that Nagarjuna may play the lead in Kodi Ramakrishna's film.

Ala Modalaindi nominated for National AwardS

Nani, Nitya Menon starrer Ala Modalaindi, which has hit the screens in the month of January, has proved to be a super hit at the Box-Office. Despite having the small cast and a new director, Ala Modalaindi was well-received by the audience.

The movie is running towards 100 days in the major centers and earned good profits for the distributors and the exhibitors. The audio launch of the most awaited film of the year Badrinath will be held on 8th May. Allu Arjun and Tamannah are playing the lead roles in this V.V.Vinayak’s directorial. Ram Charan Tej to rock Tamil Industry!

The fastest rising star in Tollywood, Ram Charan Tej, son of Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi, is all set to debut in Tamil. His blockbuster Magadheera, the fantasy action drama directed by hit maker S S Rajamouli, is being dubbed in Tamil as Maaveeran and releasing in May.

The film, which won prestigious awards, is considered to be the biggest hit in Telugu as it grossed nearly ` 118 crore, making it the only film in Tollywood to collect more than ` 100 crore!

At the star-studded audio launch of the Tamil version that took place in Chennai recently, Kamal Haasan welcomed Charan to Tamil cinema and said if there was more fusion between Tollywood and Kollywood, it would become the biggest film industry in India. Ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam was all praise for the technical finesse in Magadheera.

The soft-spoken Ram Charan Tej, speaking exclusively to CT, said, "I grew up in Chennai where I did part of my schooling. I can understand and speak in Tamil. I always wanted to come back to Chennai and watch my film in a popular multiplex. Now, I'm thrilled that Maaveeran will be releasing big in May."

The dubbed movies of Charan's dad, Chiranjeevi, have usually done well at the Chennai BO. Reveals Charan, "My dad has always wanted me to do Tamil films. Actually, it was his idea to release the dubbed version in Tamil. Allu Aravind, my uncle and producer of the film, ensured that it was done well. I'm sure Maaveeran will work as it tells the story of romance and valour, packaged with a lot of emotion and sentiment. S S Rajamouli has packaged it perfectly as a roller-coaster ride with all the essential mass elements."

The actor feels that Tamil film audiences are large-hearted and love watching movies that are different. The fans in Andhra, he states, love good content and support a movie irrespective of the star value, something that has made Tamil stars like Vikram and Suriya popular. Concludes the actor, "Ultimately, it is content that matters. Thanks to the success of Tamil stars in Andhra, our cinema has improved. Similarly, I feel Tamil cinema will give a new market to Telugu films when they get dubbed. However, towards the end of the year, I will definitely be doing a straight Tamil film with a noted director."

Trivikram Srinivas to direct NTR

NTR.Jr has signed up a bunch of films and the actor is dealing with a couple of projects simultaneously. The actor will first wrap up the shoots of Oosaravelli with director Surender Reddy and tentatively titled flick Tiger with Boyapati Sreenu.

NTR has also signed up for a film in Srinu Vytla’s direction which will move onto floors once his current projects gets wrapped up. Now, the Young Tiger has given his nod to director Trivikram Srinivas for a film, which will be produced by KL Narayana under the banner Sri Durga Arts. The movie will start rolling its camera either in the end of 2011 or in the early 2012.

Rana' cast & crew issued Access Cards to enter into Sets

Rajnikanth's 'Rana' film is all set to commence regular shooting from 1st May and in the first schedule, film unit is planning to shoot a song on Deepika Padukone and Rajnikanth.
